How-To Guide

How to Play Touro Sortudo: Bets, Lines, Coins

In short: You set the stake with three controls: coins per line, coin value, and the ten fixed lines the game multiplies them by. Together they put the total anywhere from BRL 0.10 to BRL 1,250.00 a spin. Everything else on screen is a consequence of that number.

You will meet two numbers in the first minute: the stake you chose and the value printed on a gold coin. They are not the same kind of number, and mixing them up is the single easiest way to misread this game.

Game:
Touro Sortudo (a Pragmatic Play video slot)
Type:
Slot game
RTP as published:
97.55%, and that figure comes from the game rather than from the maker's website.
Max win:
5,000x the bet, and the client states it as a cap rather than as a promise.

Note: Touro Sortudo asks for one decision before anything happens: how much a spin costs. The bet menu builds that figure out of three parts. The rest of the screen, from the ten lines to the plaque reading GRAND 2000x, only makes sense once you have read it. We set the stake by hand at both ends of the ladder, from 0.10 up to 1,250.00, and the steps below are the order we did it in.

What You Need Before You Start

Before you start, check these prerequisites; each one takes a minute and saves a wasted round.

How a Round Plays, Step by Step

Follow these steps in order; the index below jumps to any step, and each step names the control it uses.

  1. Step 1: Open the bet menu
  2. Step 2: Set the coin value
  3. Step 3: Set coins per line
  4. Step 4: Read the total
  5. Step 5: Use BET MAX if you want the ceiling
  6. Step 6: Close the menu and spin
  7. Step 7: Check the rules screen once

Step 1: Open the Bet Menu

Click the stack-of-coins icon in the bottom bar. The header reads BETTING ON 10 LINES, and the ten lines are fixed, so there is no line count to change.

Step 2: Set the Coin Value

This is the smallest unit of the stake and starts at 0.01. The ladder of values the server offers depends on the currency: 33 steps in reais, 28 in dollars or euros.

Step 3: Set Coins per Line

Any whole number from 1 to 10. It multiplies the coin value on every one of the ten lines.

Step 4: Read the Total

The TOTAL BET field does the arithmetic for you: coins per line, times coin value, times ten. One coin of 0.01 gives the 0.10 minimum; ten coins of 12.50 give the 1,250.00 maximum in reais.

Step 5: Use BET MAX if You Want the Ceiling

The green button jumps to the top of the ladder in one click, which is 1,250.00 in reais and 250.00 in dollars.

Step 6: Close the Menu and Spin

Click the round button under the reels, or hold it for turbo spin. The message bar under the grid tells you what the round did.

Step 7: Check the Rules Screen Once

The i icon opens GAME RULES, which prints the paytable at your current stake, the LOW VOLATILITY badge, the 97.55% return and both ends of the bet range.

How to Set the Stake

The stake is three fields and one multiplication. That is all. Coins per line runs from 1 to 10, coin value starts at 0.01, and the game multiplies both by its ten fixed lines. At the bottom that gives 0.10 a spin; at the top, with ten coins of 12.50, it gives 1,250.00.

That ceiling is worth a second look, because it moves with the currency. The same build served in dollars or euros stops at 250.00, since the server offers a shorter ladder of coin values there — 28 steps against 33 in reais. Anyone quoting a maximum bet for this game without naming the currency is quoting half a fact.

Ten Lines, Left to Right

Ten lines, fixed. They pay from the leftmost reel to the right — nothing in the menu turns them off. Three matching symbols on consecutive reels pay once, on the best line they form; when two lines hit at once, the game adds the wins together.

Three firecracker symbols stacked on one reel of Touro

This trips people up on a 3-4-3 grid, because the middle reel is taller than its neighbours. Three identical symbols stacked in one column look like a hit and are not one, and the reason is simply that a payline here is a path across the three reels rather than a column inside one of them, which is easy to forget when the middle reel shows four symbols and the outer two show three. We watched it happen with three firecrackers sitting one above the other, while the message bar said GOOD LUCK.

Reading the Paytable

Reading the paytable starts with your own stake, because the rules screen prints every payout in money at whatever bet you have set. That makes it easy to read and easy to misremember. At the 1,250.00 maximum the wild pays 25,000.00 for three and the gold bull 12,500.00. Below them sit the chest at 6,250.00, the red envelopes at 1,250.00, the scroll at 625.00, the mandarin at 375.00 and the firecrackers at 250.00.

Even at the 1,250.00 ceiling the best line in the table is the wild at 25,000.00 for three, which is twenty times the bet. Source: our own screenshot.

Now convert. Those figures as multiples of the stake show the shape of the game: the wild tops the table at 20x, and everything else sits below it. The 5,000x the loading screen advertises cannot come from a line at all. It has to come through MONEY coins, the Hold & Spin round and the fixed GRAND of 2,000x for a full screen.

Where Touro Sortudo Controls Fall Short

Touro Sortudo controls fall short in three places, and all three are worth knowing before the first spin. It will not tell you the return: that figure sits two clicks away on the rules screen, and the maker's own page for the game leaves its RTP field empty. It will not warn you that the maximum bet changes with the currency. A ceiling of 250.00 in dollars becomes 1,250.00 in reais, with no notice on screen. And it will not show the odds behind the 5,000x on the loading screen, which the game server puts at one in 1,666,666,667 spins.

We do not recommend using BET MAX on this game. The return is identical at every rung of the ladder. A 1,250.00 stake buys only a faster balance, in both directions.

A Word on Money Management

One long sentence is worth spending here, because it is the whole of the arithmetic a player actually controls: the stake you set in the bet menu, multiplied by the number of rounds you intend to play, is the money you are putting at risk tonight, and the 2.45% the house keeps is taken from every one of those rounds whether the screen shows a gold coin or an empty grid.

The controls above decide the cost of a round, and that is the only lever in the game: money management is the whole of what a player sets, because the draw behind each round is fixed.

Touro Sortudo Coins and What They Do

Touro Sortudo coins do one thing, and they do it only in fives. Gold MONEY coins play by their own rules, and the rules screen states them plainly. A coin takes a random value of 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x or 100x the total bet. It can land on any reel. In the base game five or more have to arrive together before any of them pay. Then they all pay at once.

Hold & Spin is the other way in. It starts at random, freezes every coin, and gives three respins that reset each time a new coin lands. A COLLECT coin sweeps the values of everything on screen. Fill all ten positions and the fixed GRAND adds 2,000x the bet.

How often does that happen? We can only report our own run, and in 275 paid rounds Hold & Spin never started. The most coins we saw at once was four.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

The questions below are the ones the controls themselves raise, answered from the bet menu and the rules screen of the build we played.

How many paylines does Touro Sortudo have?

Ten, and they are fixed. The bet menu has no line count, only coins per line and coin value.

What is the minimum bet?

0.10 a spin, built from one coin of 0.01 across the ten lines. The rules screen prints it as MINIMUM BET.

What is the maximum bet?

1,250.00 in reais, or 250.00 in dollars and euros. The ceiling moves with the currency because the coin ladder does.

Do three symbols in one column pay?

No. The ten lines run left to right across reels, so three matching symbols stacked on a single reel pay nothing.

What does BET MAX do?

It jumps the stake to the top of the ladder in one click: ten coins per line at the highest coin value the currency allows.

Why are paytable values different each time?

The rules screen prints payouts in money at your current stake, so every figure moves when you change the bet.

How do we test the controls?

We opened the bet menu and pushed every stepper to both ends, in two currencies, then compared the totals against the ladder the game server sends.

Is there a bonus buy?

No. The bet menu holds three controls and none of them buys the feature; this build has no purchase option at all.
